Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the effect of training programs on the job performance of employees of an industrial company. A quasi-experimental design was used, with a control group and an experimental one. The sample consisted of 60 workers, 30 in each group. The experimental group received a management skills training program for three months. Performance was evaluated using scales before, after, and one month after the end of the training. The results of the tests demonstrated that the experimental group obtained significant improvements in the subsequent measurements, in comparison with the control group. It is concluded that the management training program had a positive impact on the performance of the trained workers.
